Tracey Emin

Tracey Emin's artistic practice is characterized by a poetic and confessional approach that encompasses a diverse range of mediums, including film, painting, neon, embroidery, drawing, installation, and sculpture. As a prominent figure within the Young British Artists (YBAs) movement, Emin has cultivated a distinctive conceptual framework that balances elements of vulnerability with boldness. Her seminal works, such as My Bed (1998) and Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963–1995 (1995), draw deeply from her personal experiences, transforming them into profound artistic expressions. Emin earned her Master of Arts degree from the Royal College of Art in 1989 and has showcased her work in prestigious galleries and institutions globally, including the Mori Art Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Stedelijk Museum. Her pieces are part of esteemed collections at the Tate and the Museum of Modern Art, and she has had the honor of representing the United Kingdom at the Venice Biennale. Emin's artworks have achieved significant financial success in the secondary market, with auction results typically ranging from four to six figures, while some pieces have sold for millions.
