Antony Gormley explores the interplay of time, space, and the human form through his sculptures and installations, often using the outline of his own body. Primarily crafted from iron and steel, his works transform familiar shapes into abstract structures that challenge artistic boundaries. After studying Buddhist meditation in India in the 1970s, he chose to pursue art. His pieces are exhibited in major cities worldwide, and his public sculptures are found across multiple continents. Gormley won the Turner Prize in 1994 and became a Royal Academy of Arts member in 2003. He has also created line drawings and prints, with some selling for seven figures at auction.
