Celebrating the success of Zara Muse's 'Angelique'

Contemporary British artist Zara Muse was the star of our previous auction "Urban and Contemporary Art", with her wonderful work 'Angelique' (2023). View on our Artsy viewing room here.

We are thrilled to announce that Zara's work 'Angelique' was the most successful debut auction piece we've ever had at Tate Ward, estimated to sell from £3000 - £5000, but selling at £22,500 (including fees). Zara's success in this auction highlights her unique talent and recognisable palette-knife method, which continue to captivate audiences both in the UK and internationally.

Like Muse's other works, this piece perfectly captures female beauty and emotion by using strong colour palettes and contrasting shades. Her exhibitions in London have garnered acclaim and international opportunities, and her work has been chosen to be displayed at events such as the Media Freedom Awards. She was also selected by Michelin star chefs to feature her work on their restaurant walls, including a three-month exhibition at Kanishka, in addition to receiving commissions from prominent figures.

We are excited to see Zara's continued success in the art world, which you can follow on her Instagram.
